Crystals can bring all sorts of energies into our lives; they can be used in spells, healing, and protection. We all have birth crystals, and each charka has its own crystal that works best with it. But sometimes if you want to treat something more pacific then its best to have a knowledge in crystals and their properties.
Crystals:
Amethyst
Probably the most useful crystal for all-round healing and cleansing. Removes negativity, helps get rid of pain and releases tension, especially good with headaches and toothaches being connected to the Crown Charka and the third eye. Helps in the case of bruises and sprains and swellings which will rapidly disappear. Amethyst is also useful in intestinal complaints and stomach problems as it assists the utilization of vital vitamins and minerals, and regulates the flora of the large intestine. Spiritually Amethyst helps quieten the mind and is an aid to developing deep inner peace and psychic awareness; it has the power to charge up other crystals and can also be useful when chanting spells.
In Arabic countries Amethyst was put under the pillows of children to prevent nightmares, and is another of the gemstones that resonates especially well with children. Amethyst can be used to great effect to prevent ‘psychic attack’ and can transmute the ‘negative energy’ thus created into positive useable energy to once again support the universe.
Angelite
Provides protection, and opens the door to both the Higher and Angelic realms. Also to Fairy realms. Angelite provides a protective field around any environment in which it is used, and when carried on the person protects against many dangers to the person. It is both a ‘sender’ and a ‘receiver’ in telepathic communications, and makes it easier for you to communicate with Spirit, especially with Totem Spirits. It is an excellent crystal to enable promotion in work and furtherance of career. It is a crystal for raising the state of conscious awareness and for promoting clear and orderly communication. It is the crystal of communication, whether that is on a physical or spiritual level. It can be used to great effect in the ‘re-birthing’ process, facilitates psychic healing on many levels, can help heal infections of the throat and thymus, and help alleviate symptoms relative to the proper working of the heart. Aventurine
Helps make dreams come true! And allows you to dream your dreams of success! Of great benefit to the heart and helps Regeneration, especially after surgery to that organ. Said to lower cholesterol levels, and to prevent heart attacks. Also very good for skin problems, skin eruptions and Allergies. Aventurine also alleviates pain. Can be used as a healing stone when laid on the heart area. Aventurine also provided leadership qualities and has been used in the treatment of lung disorders. Healing, Protecting, and Pain relief.
Blue lace
Contains the qualities of air, flight and movement. The energy of this stone is most useful at the location of the throat Charka and the third eye Charka. Blue Lace Agate is especially suited to those gentle and peaceful people with shades of pale blue in their aura. Can be very useful in the treatment of arthritic conditions and bone deformity. It can also be used to strengthen the skeletal structure. Very useful when used to help mend breaks and fractures of the bones and for developments of the fingernails and toenails. It can be used to help remove blockages from the nervous system and from those glands that are associated with digestion. In fact this crystal is a great help in either gaining or losing weight whichever is beneficial to you at any given point in time. This stone is helpful for problems involving the head and brain, and can also be used as an elixir for the eyes. One of the most useful crystals all round, very associated with healing of all sorts and added to other crystals will bring an all-round gentle healing to whatever else has been prescribed. Carnelian
Primary healing crystal. Bestows courage and steadfastness. Should be warn close to the skin for healing. Carnelian stimulates the absorption of vitamins and Minerals, Healing for the small intestine and for the stomach area in general. Carnelian alleviates rheumatism and stimulates the Metabolism and is therefore very helpful in weight loss. It cures fear and rage, and helps to banish sorrow. Clear quartz
The Quartz Crystal is said to be the connection between the physical dimension and the dimensions of the mind. If you could only afford one beautiful crystal, then let it be clear quartz! It is the balancer, the invigorator. The psychic recorder and much more. Clear Quartz enhances the healing capacity of any other crystals that it is associated with, and acts as a ‘generator’ to re-invigorate and renew all that uses it. An excellent stone for soothing family or group problems. It can aid the digestive and assisting treatment of digestive disorders, and can promote the circulation of the blood. Hamertite
This crystal is a ‘protector’ and is excellent in repelling physical, psychic and emotional attack. It has the power to transmute negative energy into positive energy, and will if kept on the person in the form of jewellery or a ‘tumble-stone’ weave a network of light and healing energy around the wearer that will protect them from ‘psychic vampires’ Also a ‘grounding crystal, invaluable for healers and those working in a counselling capacity. Jasper
In ancient Egypt, jasper was used for making amulets. The scarab amulets were carved from it. It has always been known as the ‘warrior stone’ as it gives the strength and courage. It also gives us the ability to ‘answer back’ where necessary and not to be taken for granted. Very useful in someone who suffers from feelings of worthlessness as it will give them courage and a better feeling of self-confidence. Emotionally it imbues courage and readiness for conflict in the ability of being able to deal with things in a forthright manner. Spiritually it helps us pursue and achieve goals with determination. Red Jasper is the most dynamic for this. Mentally, jasper stimulates uprightness and honesty especially towards ourselves. Moon stone
This gem is known as a ‘lucky’ stone and is associated with ‘love’ magic. The Moonstone is associated with the Moon, and the intuitive side on mankind. Traditionally it is considered to be a stone associated with feelings, intuition, the heart and fertility. The Moonstone helps us be in touch with our ‘psychic and mediumistic’ side, and is often worn or carried by psychics. The energy of Moonstone is balancing, reflective, introspective. Obsidian
Obsidian dissolves shocks, fear, blocks, and traumas. Stops bleeding.
It purifies the atmosphere of negative spiritual influences, and serves as a protection against psychic attack. Obsidian expands the consciousness and helps change restricting beliefs, communication. And behavioural patterns. It is believed that it can staunch bleeding and accelerate the healing of wounds. Obsidian improves the circulation, even in extreme cases such as hardening of the arteries in the legs caused by smoking; it also ensures warming of the extremities for example, chronically cold hands and feet. Tigers eye

Good in the treatment of nervous diseases of all kinds. And problems with the eyes (can help night vision) and the throat. Can also be used to strengthen the alignment of the spinal column. And to help mend broken bones. Tiger eye can also help in painful situations both emotional and physical, and will work well with conditions like headache and rheumatic pain. Should never be worn for more than a week at a time as jewellery, as it slows down and regulates the flow of energy helps the hyper-active, but wearing it all the time may cause sluggishness. Tiger eye is sometimes dyed various colours. This in no way diminishes its properties, but can in fact add aspects to its healing properties if the colour is in attunement with the person using it. Turquoise
In many cultures of the Old and New World this gemstone has for thousands of years been appreciated as a holy stone, a good-luck-charm or a talisman. It is a virtual "peoples’ gemstone”. The oldest proof for this lies in Egypt, where in tombs from the period around 3000 B.C. there were found artefacts set with Turquoise. In the ancient Persian Kingdom the sky-blue gemstones were originally worn around the neck or on the hand as protection to ward off unnatural death. If the stones changed their colour, there was an imminent danger for the wearer. However, in the meantime it has been uncovered that Turquoises may in fact change their colour, but this reaction is not necessarily an indication of danger impending. The reason for the colour change is rather the influence of light, cosmetic products, dust or even the ph-value of the skin, which may all trigger off chemical responses. Turquoise will protect and let you enjoy life in earlier times Turquoises were sometimes thought responsible for the material wealth of their bearers. Turquoises were loved as ornaments decorating turbans, often set in a border of pearls, in order to protect the wearer from the "evil eye”. They were used as talismans decorating daggers, scimitars or the horses’ bridles. Turquoise came to Europe only during the time of the crusades. And from this period comes the name "Turquoise”, meaning simply "Turkish stone”. Turquoise was also a native stone and was placed on dream catchers and charms. Being Drawn to crystals
The best way to find a crystal that works with you is to look at a large collection of crystals, and take a deep breath close your eyes. Think to yourself what crystal am I drawn to, and then open your eyes, the first crystal you focus on out of the selection is the one you most likely to need. Pick it up and ask yourself how do you feel holding this crystal?
Find its meaning and where its location is on the charka system and meditate with it. You can put it in your pocket or wear it as a piece of jewellery or even put it under your pillow and its energy will be absorbed into your charkas helping you on the layers of your aura. Once you feel that the crystal has had its use it is a idea to berry it or cleans it and hand it onto someone who you know needs that crystals energy in their everyday life.
Burying a crystal gives it back to mother earth, you may find after a while you may want to dig it up again and use it to help your charkas, doing this you will find that the crystal has greater power and a energy to it as it has been charged with mother earth once again.
Cleansing crystals
There are many ways to cleans a crystal; the ones I normally use and are most common are to place your new crystal in a bowl of sea salt and water. Leave it in there for a few hours and place your crystal within the sun to charge it and finish the cleansing process.
Then you can mark it as your own and program the crystal to do its job by meditating with it telling it in your mind what its purpose is.
Another way is to berry it into mother earth, or to cleans it with a burning sage stick, as sage removes previous energies and negativity.
Crystal circles
If you feel that you need a large boost of energy then it’s an idea to create a crystal circle. Chose the crystals wisely and what you feel you need and place them around in a large circle. In the middle you should sit surrounded by your crystals and light a candle in front of you. Meditate and say to yourself what you need from each of these crystals, what do you desire, like protection, health or anything. Sit meditating and go for a spiritual wonder, go where you wish to go but you must have the strength and ability to bring yourself back and ground yourself. Finally when you feel you have finished meditating blow out the candle and ground yourself like a tree.
Crystal children
Crystal children means a spiritual child who is in touch with mother earth and crystals, healing and spirituality. They call them the new breed as we humans are all psychic but the crystal children can tune into that power far more than some people can. A myth has been going around the world for centuries, natives, Egyptians and even Mayans. Some people call them the indigo, some say there light workers, and some call them rainbow warriors.
The purpose is to unite people with their loved ones and bring a change and difference to the world. You can always tell a crystal child when you see one; it is something to do with their eyes. They are often very old spiritual souls that have walked this earth many, many times and they still carry that nature with them. They are highly developed souls and often very psychic and empathic.
In the Mayan myth it is said the world will end in 2012 but after a end is a new beginning, and people believe that the crystal children are the key to a new age.
